Catching Shadows
Often capturing interesting images simply means being aware of your surroundings and noticing small details. This is one of a series of pictures I took while working on a completely unrelated project. I just happened to walk by an area in which the sun was working magic with shadows. I grabbed an iron plate with ornate cut-out detail and captured the object's shadow in this photo.
looking at your site, i feel like i'm looking at some famous artist's web page. you are so talented, and i think your stuff should be in a gallery somewhere! i can totally see it!!! some of these pictures blow me away! but i guess that's what happens when the person taking them is so awesome!
I'm originally from western Kentucky. My family has lived in the same patch of the state for over 150 years.
I found my creative niche relatively late in life. My father died rather unexpectedly and creativity became the way in which I dealt with the crushing blow.
I began persuing as many creative outlets as I could keep up with. Keeping my head and hands occupied helped to soothe my grieving heart. Transforming pain into tangible beautiful things proves that the creative process can indeed heal.
It is to my father that I dedicate this site. My father who was always willing to accept me for who I am. My father who knew before I did that being an original was the only way to be!
